It's not hot now, but it will get that way.

You can see the actual color of the rocks where they have been disturbed, they are whitish grey (check where Sam is sniffing). The black color is called varnish, it's from those rocks taking very hot sun for millennia.

We walk every day, Sam and I. But it's in the flat sandy desert. It's good exercise for walking but going up and down is more exertion and better exercise. Both Erv and I live quite close to open desert.
