Good on you Jon. I tried going back to the same breed one time-a Springer Spaniel. That didn't work out very well for either of us. When she was stolen I barely looked for her. Sad, huh?

Like you, my Rott was a magnificent friend and a truly great dog. The very best? Certainly in the top 3. I really do believe I've had 3 once in a lifetime dogs. The first Springer, the Rott and the half Rhodesian Ridgeback half something I have now.

She's a likely looking lass, as they say. Two choices for 0430 whining (What's your problem anyway? I'm always up by 0430). Find an old wind up alarm clock and put that in her night time enclosure OR bring her in bed with you. The problem with that is she'll expect that and she's going to be 5 feet long and weigh 100 plus. Not a lap or bed doggy...
