Yeah. When I was younger I loved the zoo, made a point of going in each city I visited. Now, not so much. I do support a couple of 'rescue' places (one for Raptors and one for Cats) and have a friend that is a maniac Macaw rescuer.

That doesn't mean that zoos aren't a great place for the family to look and learn. If this were facebook I'd say 'it's complicated'. Looks to me like you and yours had a great time, and that is vital.
