One time in my life I got to see a cougar stalking. Fishing a cool lake chain in E Wash with a buddy we were only generally together. I was walking towards a small lake when I saw movement. The white tip of the cougars tail. She was on a deadfall and clearly looking at something tasty. I was downwind and stood silently to watch.

Until I realized it was my buddy she was looking at. I touched off a couple rounds to send her after something else...
