I did a back road tour of the west this year. I actually saw a surprising number of Dollar General and Family Dollar in the north. New ones. Made me sad. Pilot Rock Oregon had one not opened yet. Spokane, Wa had as many dollar stores as pot stores and that's saying something. Central Idaho had lots, too.

I did see (cause I was looking carefully) a lot of General Store and Mercantile type places that are still in business. Even a couple of saddlery shops. It was a good trip.

I'm guessing you are enjoying the Midlands. You and Pura seem to insist on enjoying life...
