Thanks Sult. Not that I don't appreciate the Hive, I do. Very much. But the real reward was reading all the posts and traditions. There was some seriously good writing and feeling in all of them.

You just now made me think of puzzles. We didn't play many board games across generations but we'd do puzzles. A lot of times when the weather was cold out on the farm there'd be a card table with a puzzle on it. Stand in front of the Zigler oil heater and find a couple pieces of the puzzle was a good break.

And you know what? I just lied. Pinochle. It was a mostly adult game, but adulthood came early. By the time I was 12 I could play with my Dad, Grandpa and an Uncle. Grandpa always kept score with chips and that's where I learned how an abacus worked.
