Well, I made it. The level formerly known as dolphin.
Since the price of Hive was straight in the toilet when I got up yesterday I took my steem power down for the week and went to Binance to convert it to Hive. I hadn’t been to Binance for a while (think 2 years) I found I had a couple of little pieces of BTC and some OK Cash (I can see your shitcoin and raise you two). I sold it all and ended up with 1200 net Hive. Puts me darn near to 6000 Hive. I’m pretty stoked.
There is a lot of talk on the platform about stress reduction. @powerhousecreatives@powerhousecreatives is running a contest with that as the topic, and others have written a large number of words about it.

Not a single one has highlighted the method I use. When I’m feeling stressed and bothered I just give the dog a couple of swift kicks and I instantly feel better. It’s all about command and control after all. Stress is caused by a lack of control in our lives and having utter control over a helpless creature can remove all that. I suppose you could substitute a cat if that’s all you have but the damn things are pretty crafty and it’s really hard to put a good sound kick on a moving target.
No I don’t. Sam has been with me two and a half years and has never been struck or kicked. He doesn’t much like cats so I just had to imagine the cat scenario. He doesn’t trust the shifty buggers…
Stress IS caused by a personal lack of control. Finances, Health, Personal Space and others. I actually have a sentence that helps me a lot.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
I can’t change the trajectory of a disease but I can manage my exposure to it.
I can’t change the quarantine orders, but I can maximize myself to fit it.
I can’t change that I’m stuck here, but I can plan rides near and far.
I’m going to actually suggest that you get a dog if you don’t have one. Your doggy doesn’t need anything but some food, water and exercise. And a place to poop, of course. In return he’ll give you unconditional love and a ton of time outside your head. Our local pound is open by appointment. I’m sure that you can find a way to get a doggy.
Just think: You can make picking up poop a family activity in these time of limited activity. It’s sorta like an Easter egg hunt...
