So. I was standing in the market yesterday getting some rolled oats to eat for breakfast. Price for said oats was a mere 79 cents per pound, a screaming bargain. Or it was until I stood there and figured out that it is worth over $1500.00 per ton.
My Dad, who spent his lifetime farming and feeding literally millions of people would have turned himself inside out and shit unicorns for 10% of that price. The number of people and the amount of money between the farmer and the market is just staggering.

I don't begrudge anyone their life or living, far from it. But the whole truth of the whole matter is that I'd truly like to see those that 'bust it off' for the product get a fair percentage of the price of their labor and guts and brains. That's what crypto and blockchain technology is for me. A chance for an honest division of profit without the endless stream of dipping off the efforts of somebody underneath you.
It's probably a bit past me, this wonderful opportunity we live in today. I'm 66 years old, but I wish for my younger brothers and sisters around the world a shot at income equity. I'm thinking that aspect could be as important to the future of humanity as the ability to domesticate animals and farm our food was to our ancestors. Pretty important stuff when you think about it,
