Today i have a small message for us all.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.
The scripture above is one of the most wonderful scriptures we have in the bible. Paul here was teaching the church on the new nature and life we received when we came into Christ. He was making a distinction between the life of the flesh and the life in the Spirit.
More importantly this scripture also speaks of the believer's position in divine wise. The word be as used in the opening text connotes a fixed position in a place, time or state. "If any man be in Christ..." , it presupposes that the initial position was not in Christ, then what was it?
Let's look at this beautiful scripture to examine man's initial position.
Colossians 1:13 - Who has delivered us from the power of darkness (Devil) and has translated us into the kingdom of his dear son. Adam's disobedience positioned the whole human race in the devil and God through the power of the cross delivered us from the devil and positioned us in His Son Jesus Christ, hallelujah!
You have been eternally positioned in Christ, this is the most safest and joyful place any man can live. You are now a citizen of the place called IN CHRIST. You don't have to fear any man because in your dwelling place you are secured.
In Christ is your dwelling place so cheer up and never be afraid
