Have the same attitude among yourselves that was also in the Messiah Jesus.
Philippians 2:5
Christ in his earthly life possessed some indispensable attitudes in his life. He never refrained from living the life of total obedience and humility to God. He defined humility to us by the attitude he put up and his life is our example.
The Apostle Paul also understood the life of Christ and told the Philippians to copy the same attitude - humility. He said, "In God's own form existed he, and shared with God equality, deemed nothing needed grasping. Instead, poured out in emptiness, a servant's form did he possess, a mortal man becoming. In human form he chose to be, and lived in humility, death on a cross obeying. Philip. 2:6-8
Paul is given us a concrete evidence of the humble life of Christ Jesus. He took a servant's nature upon himself and serve everybody and in every place he went. He was not discriminative in his service to men but respected and obeyed God by doing it to man. He even told the disciples that, the son of man came to serve and not to be served.
This is the kind of life we have to copy and imitate as dear children of God. We must learn from the humble life of Christ. Always serving others and obeying them. The fact that you are serving doesn't mean you are a servant but it rather reveals who you are in Christ. Obey every authority and submit to higher powers, giving heed to advice and ordering your steps in Christ.
