One of the major reasons for certain investments being adopted is liquidity. When I trade I look at the ability to get in and out, that is the main reason for market makers. Well with me only having bittrex and the hive wallet being down for like a month now. It is really hard to move money in and out.
This has made it a up hill battle to convince my wife to let me put more money in. She is concerned that I could get stuck or have now way to move it, and she is being proven right. Imagine if hive ran, and we had no way to sell, at current rates, I don't really think you will have to imagine, because it currently is a reality.
I hope this is a short term deal, as this could ultimately be the achilleas heel of any project. Becoming insolvent is a real issue, and even thought there are other exchanges bittrex is the preferred for us customers right now.
