A month back I bought these 3 Flavoured Kombucha's from a Goan brand called Borecha, Primarily bought them because Mangalore as such is still new to beverages like Kombucha & Tepache.
Kombucha is a fermented, lightly effervescent, sweetened black or green tea drink commonly consumed for its purported health benefits. (Says Google)
Tepache is a fermented beverage made from the peel and the rind of pineapples, and is sweetened either with piloncillo or brown sugar, seasoned with powdered cinnamon, and served cold. (Says Google)
The first place to start making Kombuchas in Mangalore is a brand called Burp Me Kmobucha and they have their products currently only in a select few places across Mangalore.
Well me being me, I was stocked to find out that finally there's another brand that's marketing Kombucha and well I knew I had to pick them up.
Did a bit of research on various flavour profiles and parings and I found out that it goes surprisingly well with gin. That's when it hit me, i'm for sure going to do a self shoot at home with these products.
I keep a good collection of beautiful empty liquor bottles so I used a bottle of Greater Than Indian Gin
The only London dry gin made in India. Copper pot distilled with botanicals sourced from India and around the world. This gin has clean juniper and fresh lemon peel on the nose and a zing of ginger on the finish.
Gin resembles water so a quick refill of the bottle and I was set for the shoot 😂
Below are 3 of the Borecha flavours i've tried:
- Guava Chilli
- Classic
- Sevilla Strawberry
I actually made a wonderful stop motion of these 3 products, it took me about 2 hours to complete the shoot, 25 images of each can was shot, a total of 5 hours of post processing and editing and below are the results.
The entire label of the bottle has been replaced because the bottle I had, had another label of the same brand, It was customised for a special occasion and I wanted to showcase the original product.
Hope you guys really enjoyed this one, It was painstaking but it's totally worth the results don't you agree ?
P.S I join my new job today, Wish me luck ❤️
