Hello everyone! Last month, I had the joy of celebrating my daughter's and son's birthdays. My daughter graced us with her presence on June 13, 2007, while my son made his grand entrance on June 25, 2020.
Despite my desire to celebrate my daughter's 17th birthday with a cake, she politely declined due to my financial difficulties. Before her birthday, I had already purchased a backpack as a surprise gift. However, my plan was foiled when she noticed the exact bag in a Facebook post and expressed her dislike for its design. Consequently, I informed her that I would keep the bag for myself.
When the parcel finally arrived, she was delighted with it.
Additionally, I thought it would be practical to gift her a stainless steel mug that she could utilize during her school On my son's birthday, I had planned to make a simple meal of cake and pancit.
However, my husband deviated from the plan and cooked shrimp and fish, which we had intended to eat the following day.
Originally, we anticipated the presence of only my mother-in-law, father-in-law, and one of his sisters as guests for the evening. However, I was taken aback by the additional guests he invited. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the dinner, preferring a more intimate gathering. Additionally, we faced the challenge of insufficient food to accommodate the unexpected guests.
Amid our financial struggles and the depletion of my savings, I felt a pang of disappointment when I noticed that my husband had prepared a dish that deviated from our intended celebratory meal. Sensing my silence, he prompted me to share the reason behind it.
In anticipation of the upcoming school year and the associated financial obligations, I consciously tried to practice fiscal restraint.
Fortunately, my benevolent aunt bestowed a thoughtful gift upon my son to commemorate his special day.
With that, I conclude my motherhood blog for today. I hope you enjoyed reading my article.
Thank you for reading, and may divine blessings be upon us all.
