As much as I agree with you in one sense I also feel money is very important, at least these days money is freedom. I have to admit having money has made me much happier, it's allowed me to do things I never could of before, things that give me great pleasure and make me feel accomplished and Im not sure it would of been possible without money.
In saying that my life doesn't revolve around money and like you say the most important part is the friends and family you surround yourself with. It's just that money has allowed me to do things that make me feel fullfilled if you know what I mean :)
