It takes a while but you will figure out the winning combos easily. Even with the introduction of all these new cards there are obvious metas that win most matches, the hardest part is obtaining the cards.
Splinterlands seems complex on the surface but it started very basic and most people playing for a long time have adjusted easier as things were brought in slowly.
