Conversation on how you herd about steemit

I was thinking with so many new users to steemit how are people hearing about steemit to sign up? I was pretty new in the cripto space and was doing some research on various coins to potentially invest in. While searching the internet I came across an article about this awesome platform that actually pays you to blog. I am no professional blogger but the idea of building my cripto portfolio by writing about various topics that interest me was very interesting so after doing a little more research and watching a few YouTube videos I found my way to the steemit sign up page. My first few blogs were nothing to brag about. But after about a week of reading other people's articles and making about $1 from my various blogs I was hooked

So the question I have for any of my followers who read this or anyone who stumbles on this post is how did you find out about steemit? Tell me about it in the comments. Also tell me about your first experiences on steemit. I would really like to see steemit grow into the number one social platform. While I am no Jerry Banfield I would like to help promote steemit and see it grow and by knowing how people herd about steemit and what made them sign up I hope I can help find new people that want to sign up and help get them started.
