Thursday night football led the start of Week 4 with a bang. The LA Rams / Minnesota Vikings game was pretty epic with Goff throwing for 450+ yards and 5 total touchdowns. Lets hope this leads to an exciting, high scoring Week 4 of action across the NFL. We need to buckle down with our research and start putting together some DFS lineups for this weekend.
Last week this article highlighted Cam Newton, Deshaun Watson, and Jimmy Garopollo as our top QB targets. Outside of Jimmy G tearing his ACL, our picks at the position were pretty solid. Cam Newton, in particular, scored 2 rushing TDs along with 2 passing TDs. That is exactly the upside we are talking about with players like Newton and Watson. Lets try to keep the ball rolling Week 4.

With that being said, here are my top plays at the quarterback position for Week 4. Enjoy, upvote, and comment on your weekly outlook.
$6,300 / at IND / IND + 1
We are going on the 3rd week in a row where Watson is one of my top QB recommendations and so far, he hasn't disappointed. I don't want to rehash everything from last week, but as I mentioned, I always love playing duel threat QBs in great matchups. The matchup itself helps establish a solid floor for Watson but his running capabilities give him that elite upside.
In terms of actual on-field production, Watson hasn't been great for Houston who now sits at 0-3 on the season. However, he has been really solid for DFS purposes. Last week against the Giants, Watson threw for 385 yards and 2 TDs while adding an additional 36 yards on the ground. Watson has yet to score a rushing TD but its coming. He had 2 rushing attempts (in addition to 10 passing attempts) in the red zone, so we know he is getting close. Like Cam Newton last week, those rushing TDs will set him off for a dominate performance. The Colts defense seems to be much improved this season giving up only 3 total TDs through the air but Watson offers so much more regardless of the matchup. I'll be rolling heavy again with Watson who's price still offers massive value potential.
$6,700 / vs. MIA / NE + 6.5
New England has lost 2 games in a row now and if there is any team and any player I can count on coming back with a vengeance, its the Patriots and Tom Brady. It's going to be a tough task for the Dolphins to come into the New England this weekend and pull out a victory, I don't care how good they are playing. But, regardless, the Patriots haven't looked good to start 2018 and as of now, the only way I see them putting up points is through a great performance by Tom Brady.
Last week Brady put up a disappointing 9 DraftKings points to go along with 133 yards passing, the first time he has thrown for under 150 yards since 2015. Pretty crazy if you think about it and something we can likely count as an anomaly. The Miami Dolphins are playing well so far but have given up their fair share of yardage to opposing QBs. Through the first 3 games, Miami is ranked 4th in the NFL with an average of 288 yards given up per game. While they are ranked as the best team in the NFL in terms of fantasy points allowed to QBs, this in large part is due to the few TDs they have given up, so lets see how that plays out if teams start scoring through the air. I think Tom Brady and the Patriots come out strong at home this weekend - full throttle and put away any notion that the Dolphin's are the new king of the AFC East. No one wants to face a mad New England team and I can't imagine anyone is happy on the Patriots. Add in the fact he may add some talent at WR with Gordon entering the lineup (questionable still) and we might see some exciting in New England. Brady always offers a solid floor but at $6,700, I think he has great upside this weekend against Miami.
$5,600 / vs. NO / NO + 3.5
Look, Eli Manning isn't a good QB anymore and some might argue he has never been a good QB but at just $5,600 this weekend on DraftKings and facing the New Orleans Saints secondary, he offers potential. Last week Manning threw for a very respectable 297 yards and 2 TDs. Another 3 yards of passing and he would have exceeded 20 DK points with the bonus, so he isn't completely useless yet. Knowing that and the fact he has some elite weapons in Odell Beckham and Sequon Barkely, we have reason to believe in the right matchup he can still get it done for us. That being said, he faces the Saints this weekend at home. The Saints have given up the most points to QBs on the season according to NFL.com fantasy stats (standard QB scoring). Through the first 3 games, the Saints have allowed over 1,000 yards through the air and a crazy 10 passing TDs. The matchup is simply the best. If you are looking to spend down at QB and play a bit contrarian, I think Eli Manning can offer decent upside given the matchup. As an underdog, hopefully playing behind and throwing for most of the game, along with a 51.5 game total, I have no issue taking a shot on Eli Manning in Week 4.
