Hello Splinterlands community, it's been a while. I am glad I am able to be a part of the art contest with my humble art

Congratulations to last week's winners, y'all push the rest of us for real.

This week I thought to go a different route using Drybone raider as my inspo

Let me not bore you and go right down to the process

1- sketch and line art: I figure out a pose, I sketch out a couple poses and settle on one. And then I move on
to lineart, for this one I wanted to give this piece a little of that animation comic look. I ink some places black to serve as core shadows.

2- flats: after the lineart I paint in the flat colours, I colour within the lines of course.

3-shadows: after the colours I colour in the shadows. I open another layer, select a colour from the flats layer; the grey colour of the body, change the blending mode to multiply and then colouring the shadows. I keep the shades and shadows real simple.
4- after the shadows I then colour in some rim lighting on the character

5- the background: again, very plain and simple, I use the air brush and just paint in a mix of grey and even darker grey.

6- next I draw in some speed lines and the swoosh for the sword. And then on a different layer I paint in troll head, cut off and flailing around, then I go to the filter settings and select motion blur and give it that real speed motion effect. Then I paint in some gnarly blood spills and also motoblur that too, just to give it that intense violent feel.

Then I then add some other details, I select the area around the hand and the sword and the 'swoosh' as well and motion blur those in, now it looks like a real speed swing of the sword cutting off the head of a troll. After some fine tuning and editing here and there, ебатьthe piece is finished.

I didn't center the images or pull to the left of right because I believe we can appreciate them more in full like this.

This piece took roughly 3 hours total work time on Krita.

I hope you enjoyed the process as much as I did as well as the results. Thank you Splinterlands 🔥
