Hive As A Platform: The Difference It Can Make in The World At Large

Hive?

I joined hive December 2021 and it was thanks to my mighty friend @valchiz who has been here even longer than I have. When he spoke to me about it then I wasn't so interested because I wasn't seeing the big picture then. He brought it up again and I joined so he would stop disturbing me about it.

When I did eventually join, I regretted not joining on time because he drives a car now and I don't 😭😭🙄🙄 yet. When I eventually joined I began to cover as much grounds as I could. I started with #projecthope then and gradually discovered many more communities in the blog. For me , hive was more than just an investment. It was like a whole new galaxy yet to be discovered.

It became a learning ground for me because while researching and coming up with posts I was exposed to the vast knowledge other bloggers had to share. Communities like #projecthope then, #leofinance, #DIY made me understand just how intelligent and creative people of this community could be and it was fun knowing I was a part of it. Hive truly made a difference in me !

I learnt a lot that I know about crypto today on hive blog because just when I thought I knew an aspect, someone would post another aspect I had never heard before, a big example was the NFT boom period.

Thanks to hive I had so much fun with the crypto games . Unlike games that I played in the past and didn't have people to share them with hive helped with that. My favorite example is #splinterlands.

When I started playing splinterlands, I found their community here on hive and I was able to share my experience with other gamers and participate in challenges. I was having fun, sharing and still making bucks.
I was amazed by all the communities gamers can have fun on while making money as well, another example is #hivegaming

With hive you meet people everyday, go places everyday. With communities like #liketu, I could be in France tonight, remotely offcourse but being a part of people's experiences all over the world is a really big deal. Being able to share your interest with people who feel the same is something that is not that popular in today's world. For the introverts like myself and #valchiz , Hive is a friend.

Let's not forget the real sweet difference it is making in our lives, the ability to invest in a space that is secure and ever evolving. A lot of countries like Nigeria has a large rate of unemployment and Hive has made a huge difference for many youths who have been able to key into it's amazing benefits. Blogging as been one way to stay busy while raking in bucks, blogging about so many things. Lots of developers as well have been exposed to lots of opportunities on hive. Today we have a large percentage of remote workers making a living through hive, while it has become the "The Gig" to many, it has also become a side gig to some.Hive has saved a lot of people from financial instability and other financial issues they never thought they could get out of just by sharing who they are and what they are about.

I came across the beautiful work this community has done in Ghana communities and it really is commendable. I bet those people never knew hive existed but this effort alone would cement it in their memory forever. Changing their views on how much impact crypto could have on them as well as the community.

Personally I believe Hive is already making the difference, but then we can't force the idea of crypto and all it stands for on people. It is a gradual process and the numbers are very convincing that it makes even more difference than we can already see.

Hive has made a difference and I believe it will continue to make a difference after we are gone
