I can’t get enough of Fela Kuti’s music. He was first introduced to me as Nigeria’s Bob Marley and I can see how someone would say that as his music is the definitely a social commentary. Unlike Bob Marley however Fela’s music has a playful drive to it that almost forces you to dance.
In his song “Zombie” Fela mocks the police and army by calling them Zombies and thus mindless.
I definitely recommend checking his music out.
