John Carter; Another interesting movie on my movie playlist. The first time I watched this movie was on Foxtel Box Office back in 2014, thats 2 years after the initial release date. Since then, I've watched it many times without getting bored. If anyone has read Edgar Rice Burroughs' original story book, everyone will probably realize that this film has evolved a lot more than the story. The director / Writer Andrew Stanton is really a very talented storyteller. At his hands, the film became more mysterious, more logical, with the characters changing quite a bit, but still retaining the characteristic traits (in a good way).

Review: After having produced and directed the remarkable Wall-E that won the 2008 Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film, Andrew Stanton embarks on the risky adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs' epic work. And as much to say that, even if some critics find the movie to be very bland, Well, guess what? It doesn't for me. After seeing the movie, all the worries and low expectations due to the bad reviews (which I later found out that someone purposely sabotaged the film's performance) flew out of my mind. Although, without not successfully achieving the ambitions and expectations of such an adaptation from the Barsoom series of novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs. Nevertheless, director Andrew Stanton offered us a story populated by warrior tribes and extraordinary creatures. - The film has everything from a good popcorn movie, characters and charismatic creatures to big chunks of bravery, and to some welcome story surprises (the first 20 minutes in the West, and the little final twist), all with flavor epic thanks to the good musical composition of Michael Giacchino.
For me to have watched this movie on countless times, i strongly believe this is one of the most memorable and adventurous movies I have had the pleasure of watching. John Carter makes it more than justice to the concept of adventure. Epic in its entertainment and deeply human in its emotions - Just the epitome of what a feel good movie should be.
