Hello everyone on the internet, how are you? Yesterday I watched the recent sequel to Smile, a film I thought might be better than the previous one, so I gave it a chance, but before I get into the details, let's first talk about the positive aspects:

I must start with the photography, the film has some very interesting shots, some inverted (which were also present in the first film) others that are done through the mirror, subjective, etc.

The handling of terror isn't as elegant or sophisticated as the first film, but overall it's fine, although at certain points it overuses the screamers. If a scene is well-placed, it's not necessary to overuse the sound to make the viewer jump out of their seats, and that's why I say that there's an overuse of sound in this film.

The acting was really good. The protagonist goes from breaking point to seemingly climbing out of the hole, only to then return to it again, and each of her stages is beautifully portrayed and portrayed. The same applies to the other characters around her.
Las actuaciones si que estuvieron muuuuy bien. La protagonista va de un punto de quiebre a aparentemente salir del hoyo, para luego volver a 茅l y cada una de sus etapas est谩n muy bien reflejadas y representadas. Misma situaci贸n con el resto de personajes a su alrededor.
However, the structure and the story, as well as its final execution, were horrible. At times, with the desire to put ourselves in the protagonist's shoes, we ended up just as confused as she was about reality or fantasy, and that would have been fine as long as in the end, we (the viewers) had been explained the division between reality and fantasy later on, and outside of the protagonist's perspective.
Sin embargo, la estructura y la historia, as铆 como su ejecuci贸n final fueron horribles, de momentos con el af谩n de querer ponernos en los pies de la protagonista, terminamos igual de confundidos que ella sobre la realidad o la fantas铆a, y eso hubiese estado bien siempre que al final a nosotros (los espectadores) se nos hubiese explicado la divisi贸n entre la realidad y la fantas铆a m谩s adelante, y fuera de la perspectiva de la protagonista.
At some point we are offered a way to finish off the entity which I considered quite interesting and a good ending to the film, but it was in vain because in the end this resource is not used or explored in depth, since that whole part is a hallucination of the protagonist 馃槙, therefore this only created false expectations and left us with more questions than answers, more or less the same feeling we were left with with the first installment of Smile, where the protagonist does everything to try to get rid of the curse but it is all in vain.
En alg煤n punto se nos plantea un modo de acabar con la entidad el cu谩l consider茅 bastante interesante y un buen cierre para la pel铆cula, pero fue en vano porque al final este recurso no se utiliza ni se explora a profundidad, ya que toda esa parte es una alucinaci贸n de la protagonista 馃槙, por lo tanto esto solo cre贸 falsas expectativas y nos dej贸 m谩s preguntas que respuestas, m谩s o menos la misma sensaci贸n que nos qued贸 con la primera entrega de Smile, donde la protagonista hace de todo para intentar deshacerse de la maldici贸n pero todo es en vano.
And the special effects are awful, especially for a 2025 film whose prequel was better. Far from being scary, it's cringe-inducing, and the ending is a disappointment mixed with frustration and boredom. In short, you end up saying "I wasted two hours of my time," which is the length of a standard movie 馃槖 馃槫.
Y los efectos especiales son asquerosos, sobre todo para una pel铆cula de 2025 cuya precuela estuvo mejor. Lejos de dar miedo causa cringe y el final es una decepci贸n mezclada con frustraci贸n y aburrimiento, en fin, terminas diciendo "he gastado dos horas de mi tiempo" que es lo que dura una pel铆cula standard 馃槖 馃槫.
I don't want to give any spoilers so I can't give a more exact opinion on the ending, but I think it's very likely that the curse spread very far over everyone who attended that event, and that only raises the possibility of extending the saga even further, but due to how disgusting this second film is, I doubt there'll be any excitement to see a third one 馃槒
No quiero hacer spoiler as铆 que no puedo dar una opini贸n m谩s exacta sobre el final, pero pienso que es muy probable que la maldici贸n se extendiera much铆simo por sobre todos los que asistieron a ese evento, y eso solo plantea la posibilidad de extender la saga todav铆a m谩s, pero debido a lo asquerosa que es esta segunda pel铆cula, dudo que haya emoci贸n por ver una tercera 馃槒
