Hello, internet people. The Harry Potter series has been confirmed and as a Potterhead I'm very excited, I'm like with the news of the Resident Evil 4 remake I'm part excited and part scared as new series projects have not been to my total liking, however knowing that J.K will be involved gives me a bit of peace of mind.

Ya se confirmó la serie de Harry Potter y como Potterhead estoy muy entusiasmada, estoy como con la noticia del remake de Resident Evil 4, tengo parte de emoción y parte de miedo ya que los proyectos nuevos de series no han sido de mi total agrado, sin embargo saber que J.K estará involucrada me da un poco de tranquilidad.
The first thing I have to say is that if I were in charge, I would start the series from Dumbledore's life, his childhood, adolescence, the problems with Arianna, the friendship with Gellert etc (and before you say that you see that in Fantastic Beasts, you barely see it because it's Newt's story, not Dumbledore's) from Dumbledore's life to Tom Riddle's (when the professor goes to the orphanage to get him) and then I would intertwine the two stories until the death of the Potters and from there develop the story as it goes in the books.
Lo primero que tengo que decir es que si fuese yo quien estuviera a cargo, empezaría la serie desde la vida de Dumbledore, su infancia, adolescencia, los problemas con Arianna, la amistad con Gellert etc (y antes de que digan que eso se ve en Animales Fantásticos, apenas y se ve someramente porque es la historia de Newt no de Dumbledore) a raíz de la vida de Dumbledore, llegaría a la de Tom Riddle (cuando va por él al orfanato) y luego, yo entrecruzaría ambas historias hasta la muerte de los Potter y de ahí desarrollaría la historia tal como va en los libros.
Now, we know that the series will simply take the chronology of the books as it is, so I would start with Voldemort's journey to the Potters' house, the murder and "destruction" of the Dark Lord, and even occasionally flashback scenes of the Potters' life with Harry, the friendship between the Marauders, their relationship with Harry, etc, I feel it would give more depth to the plot, we would get more attached to them and also hurt more for their loss, as well as Pettigrew's betrayal.
Ahora bien, sabemos que la serie tomará simplemente la cronología de los libros tal cual, así que yo iniciaría con el camino de Voldemort a casa de los Potter, el asesinato y la "destrucción" del señor tenebroso, he incluso de vez en cuando haría escenas flashback de la vida de los Potter con Harry, la amistad entre los merodeadores, la relación de estos con Harry, etc, siento que eso le daría más profundidad a la trama, nos encariñaríamos más con estos y asimismo dolería más su pérdida, así como la traición de Pettigrew
Some people call this new work a "rehash" when they don't even know what exactly the word means, new works based on the same material are not rehashes, they are reinventions of the same work, it is something completely new and different to what we have already seen (the films) because being in series format, it allows them not to leave out any detail, story or character, it also allows those who have not read the books to understand the story anyway and not have unanswered questions (what films do).
Algunos catalogan este nuevo trabajo como "refrito" cuando ni saben que exactamente quiere decir la palabra, los trabajos nuevos basados en un mismo material no son refritos, son reinvenciones de un mismo trabajo, es algo completamente nuevo y diferente a lo que ya hemos visto (las películas) dado a que al estar en formato serie, les permite no obviar ningún detalle, historia o personaje, aso además podrá hacer que quienes no hayan leído los libros de todas formas entiendan la historia y no tengan preguntas sin respuesta (lo que sí hacen las películas)
Now, one of the things that reassures me is knowing that J.K. will be in charge as she is jealous with her work and is quite detailed when it comes to choosing the cast and taking care of details. It would scare me to think that the characters are not going to look like the ones in the books and that there will be forced inclusion or something like that, I've already lost my taste for new series because it's full of this 🙄🙄
Ahora bien, una de las cosas que me tranquiliza es saber que J.K estará a cargo ya que es celosa con su trabajo y es bastante detallista a la hora de escoger elenco y de cuidar detalles. Me asustaría pensar que los personajes no van a parecerse a los de los libros y que haya inclusión forzada o algo por el estilo, ya de hecho le perdí el gusto a las nuevas series porque está lleno de esto 🙄🙄
I really want to see scenes that were never depicted in the movie like Cho and Harry's date, Harry's interview with Rita Skeeter, the DCAO classes with Snape, the scenes of Harry's unintentional magic, Kreacher and Dobby's fight, etc. There are too many interesting scenes that were left out.
Tengo muchas ganas de ver escenas que nunca fueron representadas en la película como la cita de Cho y Harry, la entrevista de Harry con Rita Skeeter, las clases de DCAO con Snape, las escenas de la magia involuntaria de Harry, la pelea de Kreacher y Dobby, etc son demasiadas las escenas interesantes que quedaron fuera.
I'm still in a neutral position as I'm not going to complain about something I haven't seen yet but I won't praise it either until I see the final result, I feel that just like Resident Evil 4, if they respect the look of the characters, the story and leave aside the forced inclusions, the project would be a success, especially among Potterheads who always want more of this universe.
Igual estoy en una postura neutral ya que no me voy a quejar de algo que aún no he viso pero tampoco lo alabaré hasta ver el resultado final, siento que tal como en Resident Evil 4, si respetan la apariencia de los personajes, la historia, y dejan de lado las inclusiones forzadas, el proyecto sería todo un éxito, más entre los Potterheads que siempre queremos más de este universo.
