Hello lovelies!
So today I talk to you about how to promote Dtube by not quitting Facebook. Of course everyone is excited to F*ck the Zuck. I am too! I want to dump him faster than an abusive ex. HOWEVER, think about this before you actually do it.
Chances are, if you are anything like myself, you have a history on Facebook, you have invested time, maybe even money into building something on there. Don't just throw it away! I am not saying this because I think it stands even one iota of a chance in the upcoming decentralized world, but more because we are not at that world yet, and why not use what we already have to promote the new things that we want!?!
I have started posting my Dtube links to my Facebook pages, and they have gone over really well. People like the Lady Steem character, people like the news, people keep asking me, "what is this dtube thing?" That is exactly what we need/want. We need promotion, Dtube and Steemit needs to be featured. If we want to get people over, they have to know someone there, it has to feel trustworthy and inviting. Using Facebook is a perfect way to do that.
Get everyone you know over here, and then we can all have a #DumpFacebook party together. Yet don't be shocked if that takes a few years. Not even MySpace was taken down overnight.
