You bring up a very good point, @codingdefined. As our parent's age, we should be aware of their financials so we can assist where needed because they generally would not ask for help. In the event of death, it is crazy to leave unclaimed funds behind because they likely worked very hard to save those funds. In the US, the unclaimed money eventually goes to the government, and we all know how they will just piss it away.
Likewise, we need someone who knows our financials in the event of an untimely death.
