Those little humans are from a different planet for sure.
And then we somehow "humanize" them and "turn"them to adults. Dull, boring and business, money (survival?) orientated.
And it always amazed me to watch those little rascals that were in plenty in any wedding, living in their own world and socium interacting with the other kids. Totally different mood, different engagement and interaction rules. How easy they get to become friends, just about that easy now and then one of them gets rejected if being too boring or "adult".
One thing that would never change, is how uneasy they become, when being forced into grown up world suddenly, when they are dressed up and have to fullfill any roles that only grown ups understand.
This is the real job and real grind, to focus attention on something totally alien for the kid and for that you get a grin that speaks a thousand words.
