So it's been a while since i posted anything on the platform...
An the reason is probably common to many like me. Sense of unfairness, inner circle voting and total disregard to content quality which in turn causes poor quality content creation and last but probably the biggest issue for me, visual CONTENT DISCOVERY. Which is still weird, inefficient and does not help me to find content that i want.
To be honest after posting to Steemit for a few years, being advocate for the new paradigm, starting a startup and implementing steem rewards on my photography platform www.bescouted.com so that content creators could get steem rewards for sharing their artwork (with no support from Steemit Inc whatsoever) and bringing hundreds if not thousands new users to the blockchain, educating them personally i got fed up with unfairness and abandoned the project.
I've even had a chance to meet Ned and some members of his teem for a brief moment at Consensus in NY and it was clear to me the same minute that they do not genuinely care about the community and steem is just get rich fast scheme to them, which became apparent when they sold out to Justin.
I have abandoned steemit to the point that i lost track of the news, new developments like communities and SMT's until yesterday when i saw Hive pop up on Binance (still do some trading here and there). And i've decided to take a look at the new token. And oh Boy was i surprised (and not surprised at all at the same moment). Hard fork!
I am not a developer myself and can't write code, instead i am looking into ways how new paradigms can improve users experience, how they can benefit us, simple people into getting fair share of the pie and how to make the world a better place ( i know i know lol).
So i take my hat off before those guys who took control into their hands and forked into HIVE. I wish them the best of luck and hope that this time it will truly become decentralized, fair and quality driven solution for billions of us out there.
If there is anything i can help with, please guide me how could i do that (i can't write code) or if anyone would look into my attempt to bring back value created on BeScouted back to content creators and would like to work on the project together please let me know.
I hope it's not Justin who's buying all Hive tokens out there but many community members that see great value and the future of decentralised web 3.0
Bets of luck to all devs that undertook that task and responsibility out there!
