Buen d铆a, colegas m煤sicos y amantes de la m煤sica. Vengo a participar por primera vez en el Hive M煤sica Festival. Aunque es algo tard铆a mi participaci贸n (porque he tenido la invitaci贸n abierta desde hace tiempo, pero el trabajo no me dejaba).
Los temas de diciembre son navide帽os y nada habla de la navidad mejor que los aguinaldos venezolanos. 驴Qui茅n no recuerda alguno de estos? Todos son muy bellos y algunos tienes letras que hacen menci贸n al nacimiento del ni帽o Jes煤s.
En mi participaci贸n de esta semana, quiero compartir con ustedes el Aguinaldo, La Jornada. Este es de autor an贸nimo y es de das canciones que todo el mundo se sabe por alguna raz贸n. En mi caso, me recuerda a las fiestas navide帽as del colegio. Por si no lo saben, estudi茅 en un colegio cat贸lico de las hermanas Carmelitas aqu铆 en Cuman谩. En mi mente hay una rocola de canciones con temas religiosos. Mis favoritas son los aguinaldos y villancicos.
Escuchar estas notas me transporta a esa 茅poca m谩s feliz d贸nde toda la familia estaba reunida en la mesa y se esperaba por abrir los regalos al d铆a siguiente. Es algo m谩gico. La misma canci贸n hace referencia a un viaje hacia Bel茅n y como unos cascabeles anuncian el tiempo de partir.
No es mi aguinaldo favorito, pero s铆 uno que despierta recuerdos muy bellos. Me gustar铆a saber cu谩l es su aguinaldo favorito.
Por lo pronto, me despido esperando que mi interpretaci贸n sea de su agrado. Todav铆a no canto, pero estoy tomando clases. As铆 que seguro me ver谩n cantando pronto. Tampoco cantar铆a este aguinaldo porque tiene 隆10 estrofas! Por ahora, disfruten de Embla haciendo la voz.

Greetings fellow musicians and music lovers! Today, I bring you my first entry for the Hive Music Festival. I'm sorry for the delay (work and a lot of other stuff had kept me from recording my video).
The themes of December inevitably speak of Christmas. What is better for this than Venezuelan Aguinaldos? Who doesn't know one of these? They are beautiful and their lyrics always recall topics like the birth of Jesus and festivities.
In my entry for this week, I want to share with you one which is called "La Jornada" (The Journey). It's composer is anonymous and it's one of those songs every Venezuelan seems to remember somehow. In my case, it reminds me of the Christmas celebrations at scho. I studied at a Catholic school, so my brain is a bit jukebox of songs with religious themes. My favorite ones are all those related to Christmas.
Listening to this melody takes me back to those happy times when all the family was gathered around the table and we waited for the next day to open the presents. It was pure magic! The songs makes refenreces to a Journey to Bethlehem and some jingle bells anounce the departure.
It isn't my favorite Christmas song, but it is filled with beautiful memories. I'd like to know which is your favorite Christmas song.
For now, I gotta say goodbye, but I hope you enjoy my performance. I'm still not signing, nor would I sing this one. It has 10 stanzas! But I have to tell you my little secret and it's that I'm taking singing lessons. So you'll see me signing sometime soon. Enjoy Embla's beautiful voice.
