Hello there, black-and-white photography lovers!
This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.
Last week we had the chance of hosting the FILVen in our city. This is the name for the International Book Fair. Each year, it is held in a different city of the country. I've been to it in other States and I have to say, there are more stands and books. Also, there are better prices.
I so happen to be around because I was scheduled to read some poems as part of the Literary Group known as Cielo de Esmalte. This group started after some of the workshops held at Casa Ramos Sucre last year. However, I'm just taking part on it now since I was really busy for a big chunk of the year.
While I was waiting on the time to read, I took a stroll through Bolivar' Square to see the books and art gallery showcases. There were amazing pieces in both sides of the event. It also had hosts for children. They were the soul of the Fair with their laughs and claps. It sounded like they were having a blast.
Meanwhile, I took the opportunity to photograph some fancy books that are out of my budget. At least I can say I saw some famous graphic novels. And if you're wondering how did it go with the poetry reading. It was ok. My name wasn't in the program, so it was a bit improvised. That's a very latin thing. And it wasn't the only improvised thing of the day.

La semana pasada tuvimos la Feria Internacional del Libro en nuestra ciudad. La FILVen se hace en una ciudad diferente cada año. He tenido la oportunidad de asistir a esto en otros estados del país y debo decir que en otros lugares suele haber más puestos de libros y mejor variedad de precios.
Estaba allí porque tenía que leer unos poemas como parte del Grupo Literario Cielo Cielo de Esmalte. Este grupo se formó luego de los talleres que se realizaron en la Casa Ramos Sucre el año pasado. Sin embargo, hasta ahora es que formo parte de este por mis ocupaciones.
Mientras esperaba el turno para leer, me fui de paseo por la Plaza Bolívar para ver la muestra de libros y la galería de arte. Había cosas muy llamativas en ambas secciones. También había un pabellón infaltil. Ahí estaba el alma de la feria. A cada momento se escuchaban los gritos y aplausos de los niños entretenidos por alguna actividad.
También pude apreciar y tomar fotos de algunos libros muy elegantes y costosos. Al menos puedo decir que les tomé una foto a estas novelas gráficas famosas. Y si se están preguntando cómo me fue en la lectura. Estuvo bien. Mi nombre no estaba en el programa, así que todo estuvo un poco improvisado. Todo en un estilo muy latino. Y no fue la única cosa improvisada del día.
