“Flowers are a proud assertion that a ray of beauty out values all the utilities in the world.”

Hello, full-time weekenders!
The beauty of flowers in the tropic is the fact that they bloom during all the year. That's one of the blessing and dooms of this region. But let's focus on the beautiful Hibiscus. The flower symbol of th goddess Kali and a gathering place of hummingbirds.
I took this photo while going around some houses in a very secluded place in the city. It's like I imagine Elysian Fields or the Eden's Garden. That means it's full of Mango Trees. You can't have paradise without mangoes.
Sorry, I don't make the rules.
Anyways, I saw the flower and could help taking a photo. I knew I'd use it later. Hibiscuses are very popular around town as ornamental plants. The tea made with the flower is supposed to help with sleep.
There are many colours, but I have only seen red ones in my hometown. It is the symbol of one of our great traditional singers, María Rodríguez. She was dubbed The Mermaid or The Butterfly. However, the true symbol was the Hibiscus flower she often carried on her hair.
The flower also resembles the type of skirt the women use to dance our regional music. Some of these skirts have floral patterns in which Hibiscus is present.
I can't help but remember her music when I see the red petals and yellow dots. There's some lovely charm in the idea of how symbols are constructed in every culture. Maybe the same flower carries a different meaning to someone else.
The redness of the flower are the enticing charm that invites to watch it closely like lips coloured in the same hue would attract your eyes. Soft to the touch, the petals are the caress of a kiss.
Thanks for reading! Drop a comment of you find hibiscus flowers beautiful or tell me something you find beautiful, but make sure to drop a photo as well.
See you next time!
