“If you live each day as if it were your last, someday you'll be right.”
― Steve Jobs, "I, Steve"
Hello there, full-time weekenders!
If this weekend were my last, I'd...
...start by saying that it would be a shame passing away so close to my birthday. But, bummer, life ends too fast. Grandpa always said "to die, any day". Anyways, my last days on this planet would gone by with some cheerful celebration.
As I'm writing this, let it be known that my life was getting to the point where my friends started getting married. That means party. As they were my buddies in one of the college's music groups, it also mains playing and enjoying time with them. So, my last weekends starts with a wedding meeting new people and enjoying my time with some of the best people I've known so far. Not trying to get drunk on that, but I'll get my fair share of food since there's no time to waste!
The rest of the weekend will go by with me trying to finish this instrument. It's number 16 of the workshop and it isn't a commission, but it will have to be as ready as possible to leave a good portion of work done. Since, I won't live long enough to get the finish done, I'd leave a note for my namesake teacher in this art to finish it. Maybe also to keep it as a token of appreciation since he's always been there to help in times of need and helped me open a path in life which I have enjoyed so much.
That leaves so little time to do other things, but maybe I can squeeze out some posts to give people some ghostly advice before I'm gone. And let them be published on Hive. I'm not going to leave that goal of getting the Buzzy Bee Medal for one year of content just because of death. I mean Death get in line! There's work to do.
It be really sad to pass aways at 30 years, but if there's no way around it, I'll just keep living and making all the weekend be the peaceful kind of end my life deserves. Besides, I've always wanted to die in my own terms. Don't see any other way around it. I've had the chance to known places in the world and talk with people in far away places.
No regrets in life. But I'd go around and tell people how much I loved them for any numbers of reasons and also go and give some others a much deserved kick to the teeth. I'm gonna die. What's the worse that could happen?
I think the idea of going reckless when you're going to die makes no sense. In my case, there's no funding to do such things like skydiving or swimming with sharks. So, only local stuff and not leaving loose ends for me. These ends include finishing my haiku book, making an ongoing system of posts to sell the instruments available in the workshop (my funeral won't be free) and keeping the room tidy. You never know if the Grim Reaper is going to stumble with a shoe and make a fool of itself.
Finally, setting up a power down and keep the keys and passwords on paper so my parents can get the money stored in this account. I'm only certain that I don't need more that two drachma to cross the River Styx.
