Hello there, coffee lovers!
When you're among people who drink coffee, it is not weird to receive invitations to do just that. A while ago, @octocel called me to go get coffee with her, her dad and another professor. They were just coming out of a sort of strategic reunion regarding some marketing and other details about a book that had been recently published.
We sat at Café de Antaño at the corner of Bolivar' Square. The order was not fancy at all. Most of us ordered black coffee and she had a cappuccino. During the time we sat there, I listened to a lot of things regarding how to deliver messages and activities to promote the sells of books. Also, there were some other mentions of other books soon to be published by the editorial house that has just been created in town. It is still a digital business, but it is starting with the right foot.

At intervals of the the conversation, I got to answer a few questions and utter some comments about other things. All while being protected of the sun by the cozy space of the Café. And in the meantime, I spend some time looking at what she was doing in her sketchbook and the notes made for some other illustration works.
While I was not at those things, I was just finishing the last pages of this book of stories by Isaac Asimov. It was a birthday present I got a almost ten years ago and until this year, I had not read the whole thing. It is not that I did not like it. But one tends to get fed up by reading the same genre over and over. Readers also need vacations from their usual reading material and going through exploration of some other things. I think it is a healthy habit that prevents reader's block.
Our time in the Café ended after we had finished our beverages. I went on my way downtown to look for some things for my tool collection. Something I did not find. And then, we move towards the park making our way to the mall. We took this photo of one of the big trees that are near the river bank. It is in the season where their seeds go around the city. It also drops this sort of cotton that is highly flammable and also makes people like myself suffer from their allergies. And for that reason we did not stayed for too long near it.
One can always count on having a coffee and some conversation for having a nice start of the day. Maybe it also helps you learn something.
