Grettings my friends and brothers.
Day after day we struggle to get personal validation. Hence the silent question: am I good enough? The problem with this inquiry is that every question has an expectation of response, and while we are looking for that answer, we will be hostages of the doubt.
Every time you express yourself, perform an activity, publish that photo, record a video, choose a clothes, change the haircut, give a party or participate in some cause, you will be indirectly asking: "Hey! What do you think? You? Are these things good enough? And through them? Am I good enough?
But who is going to answer that question?
Well, the answer has been paid for the blows or the absence of them, the praise or criticism, the voice of the people, the intimates and the strangers. Somehow everyone is going to answer your question, be it with silence, be it with speech, be it ignoring or importing too much. But the voice of the people is not the voice of God.
God created you in a unique and wonderful way. We are masterpieces of his creation. Not only that, but he gave you the mission to dream, to realize and to be an expression of his glory in that world. When we say no to our authenticity, we are saying no to God.
We are saying that we do not give credit to his work. We do not attribute value to ourselves, until external valuation is given to us. The shy ones expect someone to recognize them, they let time pass and they lose opportunities. The most uninhibited are edited, reissued and lost in the search for recognition, in a game that always changes the rules. Both run the risk of getting lost, some in silence others in disguise.
It is common to crave recognition in everything we do, but while the journey for recognition by God is of freedom, the path to recognition of men is one of slavery. Remember, the voice of God is the voice of God! And it was because of that voice that you came into being. You are more than enough! You are "The Wonderful Work of God".
