Pseudo-Feminist Sensationalism A sex scandal has recently broken regarding allegations against Joseph Duggar of child molestation, and YouTube influencers have been covering this story left and right. My go-to YouTube influencer for accurate information is Katie Joy Paulson at her channel named "Without A Crystal Ball." Below is a video of hers of the most recent developments involving this same sex scandal. Jennie Gage is a feminist influencer on YouTube who has a channel named "Life, take two!" She is definitely a talented woman on camera, but I cannot agree with everything she says in her videos in that she tends to inject a certain type of sensationalism in them that is pseudo-feminist at best. ## 2. Jennie Gage's Biased Opinion About Age-Gap Relationships I cannot deny that Jennie Gage knows how to tickle my funny bone with some of the entertaining things she says about narcissistic husbands and narcissistic fathers, because I don't like men that are that way any more than she does. However, she has made some of the most outrageously inaccurate comments in her videos in the past, and this time is no exception. Below is a video of Ms. Gage reporting the events surrounding Joseph Duggar's crimes and arrest. At first, I was glad that she did a video about Joseph Duggar, but then not too far into the video she went off on a tangent about how she feels that adult men who gravitate toward younger women suffer from the Peter Pan Syndrome. Oh, brother! Give me a break! When you compare age-gap relationships with child molestation, you're comparing apples to oranges. What Joseph Duggar did to his 9-year-old victim was barbaric and unconscionable. It's not the same thing as a 47-year-old man falling in love with a 22-year-old woman. It cannot even be compared with a scenario of a teenage schoolgirl having a secret cross-generational relationship with an older man. Mr. Duggar's 9-year-old victim is going to suffer immensely in years to come, because there is no way anyone can say that what happened to her was beautiful or gratifying in any way. What Mr. Duggar did to her was pure evil. It could explain why evangelicals are always badmouthing psychics and falsely accusing them of getting their gifted abilities from demons. Psychics can easily detect all of the evangelicals' dirty secrets, using their extrasensory perception. It's not psychics that are doing the devil's work but rather people like Mr. Duggar doing so. Of course, as an agnostic, I don't believe in the existence of any devil or demons, but you get my point. News stories like the one involving Mr. Duggar give the parents of psychic children even more reasons to keep them away from religious extremists than before. Not only are these religious extremists a threat to psychic children, but they can do very bad things to them too. Religion breeds evil. Nevertheless, getting back to the original subject, I have a number of comments I would like to make regarding Ms. Gage's theories about older men in age-gap relationships with younger women. What Ms. Gage says about them could not be any further from the truth, and I can prove it herein. First of all, Ms. Gage, what makes you believe that an adult man who falls in love with a significantly younger woman is necessarily immature? I have met many adult men who have fallen in love and even married significantly younger women and have behaved more maturely than these proverbial prom kings who marry their high-school sweethearts at age 19. On YouTube, he was known as "Papa O." He married his wife, Rosanne Buhler, back when he was 34 years old and she was only 18 years of age. The late Mr. Orgill spoke six different languages. This man was athletically active besides being a very smart person. He was a good father and grandfather; and, yes, he was a Mormon, but that doesn't mean that he was some kind of patriarchal fanatic who abused women and children. From what I have seen in his wife's YouTube videos, he was quite protective of his kids and his grandchildren. Ms. Gage? When you finally read my article here, if you do ever read it, I'm sure you will say something in your next video like Mr. Orgill was the one exception to the rule that you made up about age-gap relationships. However, let me tell you something about these gigolos who gravitate toward cougars. Throughout my life, in contrary to what you claim, Ms. Gage, I have found that young men who pair-bond with cougars are usually looking for a mother figure to pamper them, spoil them, and shower them with gifts. Many of these men are too lazy to work, and they look for some sugar mommy to invite them into their home to live so that they can bum off these women. Therefore, if anyone is most likely to have the Peter Pan Syndrome, it would be these young men hooking up with cougars. Never mind the positive example of French President Emmanuel Macron. He's the exception, not the rule. The reason that adult men gravitate toward younger women has nothing to do with maturity but rather a young woman's fertility level. You overlooked that one point, Ms. Gage. In the video below, the late Gonzalo Lira, Jr. provides a brutally honest opinion about cougars and the young men who chase after them that aligns mostly with my opinion about it. For a long time, I've suspected that forensic psychiatrist Dr. Park Elliott Dietz has been hiding in the gay closet for years in that his two marriages have never seemed genuine to me in any shape, way, or form. Of course, that's just my opinion. I may be wrong about him. Even if he is gay, then it's really his own business. Of course, if he is deceiving his current wife into believing that he really loves her, then I cannot give his marriage my seal of approval. Nevertheless, Dr. Dietz certainly projects enough of a mean streak in him that would lead anyone to question whether he has frustrations from a covert sexual orientation that drives him into becoming as dangerous and destructive to others as he is. He has more enemies than anyone I've ever known of in the mental-health profession. What I cannot figure out about Ms. Gage is why she would feel so hostile about age-gap relationships in which the man is the older partner and the woman is the younger partner. She is an attractive woman in spite of her five-plus decades of existence. Her abusive ex-husband was not that much older than her. In fact, if I remember correctly, he's only four years older than her. Therefore, it wasn't as though she suffered domestic violence and rape at the hands of a man old enough to be her father. Perhaps Ms. Gages chooses to play on the insecurities of modern-day middle-aged women to jack up her views and likes. Who can really say? In any event, if you watch either the 1961 version or the 2003 version of the movie titled *The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone*, you will find that none of these age-gap relationships between younger men and older women are without their problems. Ms. Gage is seeing this entire issue of age-gap relationships with tunnel vision instead of assessing the bigger picture. I don't know of all that many young girls with no cell phone despite what Ms. Gage claims in her video. I find the late Mr. Lira, Jr.'s analysis of this topic to be more accurate than that of Ms. Gage. At the end of the day, Mr. Duggar was not involved in any kind of age-gap relationship with his 9-year-old victim. What he did to her was predatory pedophilia, plain and simple. There is no other way to look at it, because he was a 26-year-old married man, with children, at the time that he committed his sex crimes against the little girl. Pseudo-feminists and YouTube influencers like Ms. Gage need to get out of their make-believe world of age-appropriate perfection and come back down to the real world where the heart does what it wants instead of what the status quo expects it to do. It works for me. Now, I'm not claiming that toxic age-gap relationships between older men and younger women do not exist. Toxic relationships can happen with any couple regardless of the age factor. However, it does not do justice for Ms. Gage and others like her to generalize about age-gap relationships, and it's way out of line to use them as analogies to seek insight about child molestation. ## 3. Hypergamy And Young Women In Age-Gap Relationships Now, if Jennie Gage really detests age-gap relationships between younger women and older men, then why hasn't she denounced hypergamy? When you go to the crux of this same topic, a young woman's desire to climb the totem pole of socioeconomic status is what usually drives her into the arms of a significantly older man. However, Ms. Gage has never brought that point out in any of her videos that I've watched. If you're an American, let's not forget that we live in the same nation in which *Who Wants to Marry a Multi-Millionaire?* broadcasted on the Fox Network back in 2000. Luckily, that reality television show was short-lived. Radical feminists and pseudo-feminists refuse to address the elephant in the room here, which is hypergamy, because they don't want to sacrifice that one sacred option that allows them to marry out of poverty or financial difficulty. It makes me think of the 1971 movie titled *Maybe I'll Come Home in the Spring* in which Sally Field played the role of a teenage girl named Denise Miller; and when she was at a party, this one middle-aged woman told her that she was so beautiful that she should settle for no less than a rich man. None of these know-it-all women are saying anything to condemn hypergamy or encouraging women in their twenties or even in their teenage years to marry a dishwasher who works in a restaurant instead of a wealthy stockbroker from Wall Street. Therefore, they really don't have the right to criticize age-gap relationships between younger women and older men. They cannot support such a system and expect different results. Then again, way too many American women, especially older ones, want to have their cake and eat it too, and men are waking up to this same hypocrisy of theirs. A 21-year-old man is not going to have as much to offer a 20-year-old woman in terms of financial stability as a 40- or 50-year-old man would. Final Thoughts I have thought about going on Jennie Gage's YouTube channel and posting my thoughts and opinions in her comments section. However, it would probably be a waste of my time, because an entire swarm of fembots would likely ambush me with crap about all men being self-centered perverts. That would not be a healthy debate, at least not for me. I'm someone who likes to enlighten people about sensitive topics, and I don't doubt that Ms. Gage would likely give me a listening ear if she and I were to do a podcast together. However, because she appears to be surrounded by a swarm of bitter women, I probably would not get very far with such a conversation before these same outside forces were to close in on me and mislead and convince Ms. Gage to believe that I was wrong. Instead, I will simply publish articles as this one to call these influencers out on their malarkey whenever I get the chance.
