“Time is money and money is time.”
I do not agree with this statement. To me, time is more important than money. Time has a much higher value than money.
Time is immensely precious. In fact, time is more valuable than any type of asset, be it properties, precious metals, stocks, etc. We can exchange our time for money but we can never trade our money for time which has passed. When we lose money, we can always work to obtain more money. But lost time can never be retrieved again.
Time is extremely limited and high in demand. Our capability to earn depends on the time we have while we are still alive on Earth. Thus, time is the ultimate commodity we have. Work requires our time, our family demands our time and we ourselves want some time for leisure. After spending our time for someone or something, time is permanently non-transferable to us, unlike other commodities which can be bought back at an agreeable cost. Thus, spending quality time with our loved ones is the most expensive gift we can provide for them.
In a nutshell, it is only wise to utilise our most valuable resource - time, on the people who truly deserved it and on things which are genuinely important to us.
