I was sitting at home one day when I looked out the window as the rain stopped, and I thought the clouds looked really cool. I hopped in the car with no real plan, but I wanted to capture my first storm!
When I was driving I thought the local creek would look cool, but I didn't know where to park, as it runs near the main highway. I knew I didn't have much time, so I went down a dirt road I found and ended up at a paddock as the clouds exploded with this orange glow!
I rushed out of the car and set up the camera to frame the clouds and the paddock to show the magnitude of the clouds.
The adrenaline of trying to capture the conditions as they were rapidly changing helps me to understand how storm chasers must feel! We don't get many storms where I live, so storm chasing in the US is definitely on my list of must-do photo experiences!
