Hi everyone, one of the things I enjoy watching is animated films (I think I've made that pretty clear). A while back, some friends recommended one to me, which I recognized from some well-known memes, but I didn't know much about it. However, I took the opportunity to watch a classic of Argentine animated cinema, which I must say I really liked. I found it curious, funny, and entertaining, and since I recently rewatched it, I'll give you a brief opinion about "Metegol" (Foosball). >Hola a todos, una de las cosas que me gusta ver son las películas animadas (en parte creo que ya lo he dado a notar mucho). La cosa es que hace tiempo me recomendaron unos amigos una, la cual identifiqué por algunos memes conocidos, pero de la que no le sabía el contexto. Sin embargo, aproveché la oportunidad para ver un clásico del cine animado argentino que, debo decir, me gustó mucho y se me hizo curiosa, divertida y entretenida, cosa que, aprovechando que hace poco volví a verla, les daré una pequeña opinión acerca de "Metegol".

Created by the Argentine writer Roberto Fontanarrosa, this 3D animated film, a co-production between Spain and Argentina, was directed by Juan José Campanella and distributed by Universal Pictures. Released in 2013, it was met with widespread acclaim, becoming a national classic for many, particularly for its high production values and numerous references. The story follows the figures in a tabletop football game who, along with Amadeo, embark on an adventure to save themselves and their town. >Realizada por el escritor argentino Roberto Fontanarrosa, siendo una película coproducida por España y Argentina, de animación en 3D, y dirigida por Juan José Campanella y distribuida por Universal Pictures, publicada en el año 2013 y con un amplio recibimiento, convirtiéndose en esas películas representativas de un país, en este caso Argentina, ya que para muchos es un clásico que debe verse por el nivel de trabajo que tiene, así como la mayoría de referencias que esta muestra. Nos lleva, pues, a una pequeña historia donde los protagonistas son las figuras de un juego de fútbol de mesa, los cuales, junto con Amadeo, tendrán una aventura para salvarse a ellos y al pueblo en el que viven.

Although designed for a children's audience, the voices and characterizations given to each character, and how they guide the plot, completely change the landscape, making it easily enjoyable for any audience of any age. This is especially true in the original voice acting, where the use of words, slang, and pronunciations elevates the film beyond its children's niche, making it universally accessible and understandable. This is a positive aspect, as many films and projects rely on the voice acting to either make or break them, a situation we've seen with numerous adaptations and even dubbings. This was the case with Metegol, as its initial dubbing, which went beyond the original voice cast, was not well-received by the public. >Aunque está diseñada para un público infantil, las voces y caracterización que se le dan a cada personaje y el cómo enrumban la trama cambian todo el panorama, haciendo que sea fácilmente disfrutable para cualquier público y cualquier edad, siendo incluso en su voz original donde toma más fuerza este tema, ya que usan palabras, jergas y pronunciaciones que sacan la película de esa casilla de niños y la hacen general y comprendida para quien la vea, y esto es positivo, pues muchas han sido las películas y los proyectos donde la voz y la interpretación que se le añade son la pieza que les da ese brillo o que la llevan al fracaso cosa que hemos visto con muchas adaptaciones, incluso doblajes, y en este caso con Metegol pasó así, puesto que cuando llegó a Cartoon Network, esta se presentó en un doblaje más allá de su voz inicial, lo cual no fue bien recibido por el público.

On an animation level, I really enjoyed it. It's not just a simple set design; the level of detail is impressive. Even as the plot progresses, we see how the soccer player figures show wear and tear in their paint or on their very form, demonstrating the commitment to making this production anything but simple. This applies not only to these characters but to all the others in the film, and this level of detail helps us better understand the humor and how, little by little, it reveals fragments or characteristics, even without knowing their origins. >A nivel de la animación, es algo que me gustó, pues no es una simple puesta en escena, ya que el nivel de detalles que vemos es grande. Incluso a medida que la trama avanza, vemos cómo en el caso de las figuras de jugadores de futbol van teniendo ese desgaste en pintura o en su misma figura, cosa que hace dar a ver el compromiso con que esta producción no se viera simple o sencilla, y no solo con estos personajes, sino con los demás que conforman la película, haciendo justo que este nivel de detalles dé paso a entender más el humor que se ve y cómo poco a poco ese mismo dio paso a que se conocieran fragmentos o características, incluso sin saber de dónde provienen.

This film has its charm; personally, it's on my list of favorites, though not for the story itself, but for what makes it so appealing: the way it clearly establishes its direction and direction, making it abundantly clear why it's an Argentine classic. This is precisely what sets it apart from other films. So, Metegol is a great movie to enjoy, laugh at, and experience humor from a different perspective than what we're used to from other countries, which is a positive thing.
