For today, just to take a little revenge of past Mondays, we are going to Istanbul. Quite recently, in the past months, I saw Küçüksu Pavilion in dear @bilginsemra’s [this post](https://peakd.com/hive-163772/@bilginsemra/small-water-pavilion-kuecuek-su) and it really caught my attention. Küçüksu Pavilion is located on the Anatolian side, between Göksu and Küçüksu streams. The importance of this information for us is, of course, that its name comes from here. Sometimes the origin of the names of the buildings is much simpler than we think. Usually we see this example in the historical peninsula.

Because almost, since I have memory, even though I lived in Istanbul all my life, I always thought the Anatolian side equals only Kadıköy. Only recently I started to go places like Üsküdar. Actually while coming here I tried to read some information about the Pavilion, because it is not my habit to visit somewhere without knowing. Its history goes back to the 19th century. If I don’t remember wrong, it was Abdülmecid who had it built. You know, there are so many similar names with so many sultans, and honestly I couldn’t be less interested in Ottoman history. Despite all this, when I first saw the Pavilion, with its Baroque, Rococo and Neoclassical styles, it was impossible not to see the effort to catch up with European standards of that time. Of course, this takes nothing from its beauty. I wonder why? For me it was easy suddenly to compare the details on the gates with certain times, styles and approaches. I give the reason to the fashion of that era. When I passed to the Bosphorus side, I was enchanted. Of course it is not a Dolmabahçe, but still the beauty I faced took me away. At the same time I was trying to show this place to Pravesh as much as possible and honestly, I would give a lot just for the sun to be a bit in another position at that moment. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to wait. Not in Ottoman, but in that time. The beauty of Rumeli Fortress across the water nailed me there. I didn’t want to leave my place. When I say the Bosphorus view is always beautiful, I mean exactly this. Normally, architects who used to say “the only perfect one is the God” would leave one flaw, but here I couldn’t find. Or maybe the simpler front side was the flaw, but usually they don’t make such mistakes in this way. I would love to share the inside with you as well but sadly taking photos is forbidden. I can only tell you one thing: it was mesmerising… Especially the ceiling decorations were so beautiful that they gave me neck pain. I kept looking upwards all the time. Except one room, including bathroom if I remember correct, all the ceilings had ornaments. These golden leafed, well-preserved beauties clearly show the touch of a talented hand and when I finally finished my visit inside and stepped out, I felt sad. I wished to live there 😂 Sadly, even finding a place to sit was impossible.

That’s probably all from the Pavilion which I liked the interior design even more than the outside, though the outside is also undeniably admirable. I wish I could share every detail with you, but Milli Saraylar administration only allows this much. Herkese merhabaaa!!! Umarım iyisinizdir ya da iyi olmaya çalışıyorsunuzdur. Ben iyiyim. Bir Boğaz havası almak bana çok iyi geldi. Bugünlük, geçtiğimiz pazartesilerin acısını çıkarabilmek için biraz İstanbul'a gidiyoruz. Daha yeni, geçtiğimiz aylarda sevgili @bilginsemra'nın [bu yazısında](https://peakd.com/hive-163772/@bilginsemra/small-water-pavilion-kuecuek-su) gördüğüm Küçük Su Kasrı oldukça ilgimi çekti. Küçük Su Kasrı, Anadolu yakasında Göksu ve Küçüksu derelerinin arasında yer alıyor. Bu bilginin bizim için önemi ise isminin buradan geliyor oluşu. Bazen yapıların isimlerinin kökenleri bizim düşündüğümüzden çok daha basit bir şekilde verilmiş oluyor. Genellikle bu örneği tarihi yarımadada görüyoruz.

Sadece son zamanlarda Üsküdar gibi yerlere gitmeye başladım. Aslında buraya gelirken yolda Kasır ile ilgili bilgiler okumaya çalıştım çünkü bilmeden bir yerleri gezmek benim huyum değil. Kasrı'n tarihi 19. yüzyıla dayanıyor. Yanlış hatırlamıyorsam Abdülmecit olması gerekli yaptıran kişinin. Biliyorsunuz çok fazla isim benzerliği ile çok fazla padişah var ve bende Osmanlı Tarihi ile daha az ilgili olamazdım. Bunlara rağmen Kasrı ilk gördüğümde sahip olduğu Barok, Rokoko ve Neoklasik üsluplar ile birlikte kendini zamanın Avrupa standartlarına ayak uydurma çabasını görmemek elde değil. Tabii bu durum Kasrı'n güzelliğinden hiçbir şey götürmüyor. Acaba neden? Kapılardak detaylarını benim için belli zamanlara, stillere ve üsluplara benzetmek kolay geldi bir anda. Sebebini ise dönemin modasına veriyorum. Boğaz'a bakan kısma geçtiğimde ise büyülendim. Tabii ki de bir Dolmabahçe olmasa da karşılaştığım güzellik beni hayran bıraktı. Normalde kusursuz olan bir tek mensup oldukları dinin Allah'ıdır diyen mimarlar bir kusur bırakırdı fakat burada bunu ben bulamadım. Ya da kusuru işlemeleri daha sade olan ön tarafıydı ama genelde bu şekilde yapılmaz bu hatalar. İçeriye de sizlerle paylaşmak isterdim fakat ne yazık ki fotoğraf çekmek yasaktı. Size tek bir şey söyleyebilirim büyüleyiciydi... Özellikle tavan işlemeleri bana boyun ağrısı verecek kadar güzeldi. Kafam sürekli yukarıda gezdim. Tek bir oda hariç, banyo da dahildi yanlış hatırlamıyorsam, bütün tavanlarda işlemeler vardı. Altın varaklı, iyi korunmuş bu güzellikler yetenekli birinin dokunuşunun olduğunu belli ediyor ve artık içerideki gezimi de bitirip dışarı çıktığımda kendimi üzgün hissettim. Gönül isterdi ki orada yaşayayım 😂 Ne yazık ki orada oturacak bir yer bulmak bile imkânsızdı.

İç dizaynını dışından daha çok beğendiğim ama dış dizaynını da yadsınamaz şekilde hayranlıkla izlediğim Kasır'dan sanırım bu kadar. Keşke sizlerle her detayını paylaşabilsem fakat Milli Saraylar idaresi bu kadarına izin veriyor.
