Hello, hello friends who love threads and needles, it is a pleasure to greet you and wish you have an excellent week, this time I am sharing a new creative project, the new school year is about to begin and I received an order for cosmetic bags, which my friend will give to her daughter's teachers, she is in a dance academy and for the next few months she must do several presentations, these require, in addition to the wardrobe, makeup appropriate for the occasion and skin care products, nothing like having these products organized and having them on hand when doing the girls' makeup and hair, taking as a reference the character of Spliterlands Talia Firestorm and the rectangular pockets in her shorts, I made two cosmetic bags, one in yellow and the other in orange, both colors are worn by the character in her wardrobe, I invite you to join me in the elaboration process.
The cosmetic bag is spacious and has enough room to carry makeup, body creams, and perfumes. I decorated it with ribbons on the front and added a hanger at the ends. These are very useful when opening or closing the bag.
Hola, hola amigos amantes de los hilos y las agujas, es un placer saludarles deseando que tengan una excelente semana, en esta oportunidad comparto un nuevo proyecto creativo, ya est谩 por iniciar el nuevo a帽o escolar y recib铆 un pedido de portacosm茅ticos, que mi amiga obsequiar谩 a las maestras de su hija, ella est谩 en una academia de danza y para los pr贸ximos meses debe realizar varias presentaciones, estas requieren adem谩s del vestuario, un maquillaje acorde a la ocasi贸n y productos para el cuidado de la piel, nada como llevar estos productos organizados y tenerlos a la mano al momento de maquillar y peinar a las chicas, tomando como referencia el personaje de Spliterlands Talia Firestorm y los bolsillos rectangulares en su short elaborado dos portacosm茅ticos, uno en color amarillo y el otro naranja, ambos colores los lleva el personaje en su vestuario, les invitan a acompa帽arme en el proceso de elaboraci贸n.
El portacosm茅ticos es amplio y con suficiente espacio para llevar el maquillaje, cremas corporales y perfumes, lo decor茅 con cintas en la parte delantera y coloqu茅 un colgadero en los extremos, son muy 煤tiles al momento de abrir o cerrar.

The first step in making the cosmetic bags was to mark the pieces. I folded the fabric in half, placed the pattern facing the wrong side of the fabric, marked it using soap, and then cut the pieces into the main fabric and lining.
El primer paso para la elaboraci贸n de los portacosm茅ticos, fue marcar las piezas, dobl茅 la tela por la mitad, coloqu茅 el molde enfrentando por el rev茅s de la tela, marqu茅 usando jaboncillo y luego cort茅 las piezas en tela principal y forro.
Once the pieces were cut, I placed the decorative ribbons on the front, a Smurf ribbon on the yellow cosmetic bag, and two braided ribbons on the orange one. I secured them with pins and sewed them with a straight stitch.
Cortadas las piezas, coloqu茅 en la parte delantera las cintas decorativas, en el el portacosm茅ticos amarillo una cinta de los pitufos y en el de color naranja dos cintas de pasamaner铆a, sujet茅 con alfileres y cos铆 con puntada recta.
Then I glued the closure, for this I faced the closure and the main fabric right sides together, on top I put the lining and sewed with a straight stitch, then I passed the lining to the back and re-edged on both sides, so the seam is hidden, after re-edging I placed the slider, the re-edging aims to reinforce the seams and give firmness to the closure.
Luego pegu茅 el cierre, para ello enfrent茅 por el derecho el cierre y la tela principal, encima puse el forro y cos铆 con puntada recta, luego pas茅 el forro hacia atr谩s y repis茅 en ambos lados, as铆 la costura queda oculta, despu茅s de repisar coloqu茅 el slider, el repisado tiene como objetivo reforzar las costuras y darle firmeza al cierre.
The next step was to turn the piece inside out, cut the ribbon and the seam cover, on one of the ends I placed the ribbon that will serve as support when opening the cosmetic bag, the orange one has an arched ribbon, to glue it, it is joined to the side ends, and it is sewn when closing them, then I faced the center of the closure with the lower center and fastened with pins.
El siguiente paso fue voltear la pieza por el rev茅s, cortar la cinta y el tapa costuras, en uno de los extremos coloqu茅 la cinta que servir谩 de soporte al momento de abrir el portacosm茅ticos, el de color naranja tiene una cinta arqueada, para pegarla se une a los extremos laterales, y se cose al cerrarlos, luego enfrent茅 el centro del cierre con el centro inferior y sujet茅 con alfileres.
Using a straight stitch, I sewed the center of the pencil case, overlaying the closure and the ribbon. Then, to form the box, the upper and lower ends were joined, matching them at the corners. To make sewing easier, I secured them with pins.
Con puntada recta cos铆 centro de la cartuchera, repisando el cierre y la cinta, luego para formar la caja, se unen los extremos superior inferior haci茅ndolos coincidir en las esquinas, para coser m谩s c贸moda fij茅 con alfileres.
To finish I glued the seam cover, I placed it first in the central part, facing the right side of the closure, I joined it with a straight stitch, then I folded the seam cover and sewed it again on top of the previous seam, then I pinned the corners, so that the horizontal and vertical edges match, I sewed with a straight stitch and glued the seam cover as I did in the previous part, with these simple steps two beautiful cosmetic bags are finished, inspired by the Splinterlands cards.
Para finalizar pegu茅 el tapa costuras, lo coloqu茅 primero en la parte central, enfrentado con el derecho del cierre, un铆 con puntada recta, luego dobl茅 el tapa costura y cos铆 nuevamente encima de la costura anterior, luego sujet茅 con alfileres las esquinas, de tal forma que coincidan los bordes horizontales y verticales, cos铆 con puntada recta y pegu茅 el tapa costura como lo hice en la parte anterior , con estos sencillos pasos est谩n terminados dos hermosos portacosm茅ticos, inspirados en las cartas de Splinterlands.
I liked the result, the colors combine very well with the decorative ribbons and the closure, I hope this tutorial is useful and you are encouraged to do it, it is a simple project to make and very useful to carry makeup and personal use products, when the main fabric is thin, it is advisable to add a lining to give it firmness, although for a neat finish and better presentation, I prefer to add lining to these works.
El resultado me gust贸, los colores combinan muy bien con las cintas decorativas y el cierre, espero este tutorial les sea de utilidad y se animen a realizarlo, es un proyecto sencillo de hacer y muy 煤til para llevar el maquillaje y productos de uso personal, cuando la tela principal es delgadas, es recomendable colocarle un forro para darle firmeza, aunque para un acabado prolijo y mejor presentaci贸n, prefiero colocar forro a estos trabajos.
