I have a morrocoy tortoise with somewhat strange behavior. It not only feeds on fruits, vegetables and greens but also on worms.

I dare say that between vegetables and worms she prefers protein. When I fertilize the soil, move it or moisten it, she runs to see if she can catch an earthworm.

I think this reptile is very intelligent. Sometimes we underestimate the abilities of pets, but all of them are capable of surprising us.

Tengo una tortuga morrocoy con conducta algo extraña. No sólo se alimenta de frutas, vegetales y hortalizas sino también de lombrices. Me atrevo a afirmar que entre vegetales y lombrices prefiere la proteína. Cuando abono la tierra, la muevo o la humedezco, ella corre para ver si logra cazar una lombriz. Creo que es muy inteligente este reptil. A veces andamos subestimado habilidades de las mascotas pero, todas ellas son capaces de sorprendernos.

My garden is beautiful. It has been slowly populating its spaces with some plants. I have lemon balm, malojillo, oreganito, rue and malamadre or colombiana as many call it. They are the largest and most medicinal plants.

Mi jardín está hermoso. Lentamente ha ido poblando sus espacios con algunas plantas. Tengo toronjil, malojillo, oreganito, ruda y malamadre o colombiana como la llaman muchos. Son las plantas más grandes y medicinales.

In these days a mushroom grew, it occurred to me to take the photo to see its evolution but, they were the first shots and the last ones because Valor, my morrocoy ate it. I still insist that this morrocoy is very strange he,he,he,he.

En estos días creció una seta, se me ocurrió tomar la foto para ver su evolución pero, fueron las primeras tomas y las últimas porque Valor, mi morrocoy se la comió. Sigo insistiendo en que esta morrocoy es muy extraña je,je,je.

On another side of the garden I have chili peppers, the plants had not prospered for the same strange reason as Valor's behavior, everything is eaten. To avoid the problem again I put obstacles around the plants, but this mischievous one didn't care at all. When the plants were big enough it came in and ate them.

No more, I said. Now the barrier is stronger (I think so🤣). I hope I don't see her in the area again, killing everything. She loves the chili plant and all the others hahaha.

En otro lado del huerto tengo ají, no habían prosperado las plantas por el mismo motivo extraño del comportamiento de Valor, toooodo se come. Para evitar nuevamente el problema puse obstáculos alrededor de las plantas aunque a esta traviesas nada le importó. Cuando las plantas estaban grandecitas entró y se las comió.¡Ya no más!, dije. Ahora la barrera es más fuerte (eso creo🤣). Espero no verla de nuevo metida en la zona acabando con todo. Le encanta la planta del ají y todas las otras jajaja. Aparte de las plantas de ají tengo cebollín que por cierto, no es atractiva para Valor, el cebollín no lo toca para nada.

En otro espacio del jardín quise ser creativa. Alguien me regaló un tronco de un árbol picado a la mitad y me puse a pensar en qué podía hacer con él. Me gustan los cactus y las suculentas pero ¿Será que pueden prosperar sobre el tronco viejo? Nada se pierde con intentarlo. Así vamos...
