I spend a lot of time looking at the numbers and crunching out possibilities that would help my cause. Other than relocating to a better country, I also want to live a better quality of life and decent price movement in both Cub and Leo would help me achieve that.

At the time of writing, Cub and Leo are both far away from $10 and $5 valuation respectively but their potential says otherwise. However, we have to work with what we have now, rather than what could be, even though the latter is what drives one to invest.

Is it a pipe dream?

We've seen Leo at $1 for a while this year, so we know it can break that barrier. The question remains how much more can it grow?

Also, Cub has also shown that it can sustain $10, even if only for a short period of time during its inception. So, can we get there again?

Looking at the bigger picture, you can see different assets on exchanges doing decent numbers. Assets like Cake, Hive, and the rest have moved up in their dollar-based valuation, while Cub and Leo have remained largely stagnant.

I don't think this is any cause for concern, but instead, believe that this is the time to accumulate. Cub and Leofinance are solid projects that offer value, other than speculative assets in the market, so I know for sure that they'll stand the test of time.

The only question is, wen pump? Well, in the words of Khal, SOON...

Something has to give

I'm optimistic about the pump but also aware that it's not going to come out of thin air. For value to rise, more value has to be put into the system.

In the case of both Cub and Leo, we're talking about investors. As I said earlier, Leofinance and Cubfinance offer life-changing opportunities to participants like me.

Even right now, these two platforms are already changing lives, and we're not even getting the mainstream attention that we deserve. I believe that a concerted push towards mainstream adoption through marketing and campaigns would go a long way in driving up the value of both assets.

Development is very important and I encourage it, but with proper marketing, you could sell sand on a beach. Marketing is extremely important to the success of the project and I believe it is an area we've not properly tapped into.

We need to find ways to make normal noncrypto people know that they can enjoy this place and also inform them of the numerous benefits they could derive from investing.

Learn from the others

I look around and see many assets in the market with little or no value doing insane numbers. I've come to understand that the main reason there's so much interest in those assets is simply because of marketing.

If we're going to achieve our true potential, we'll have to learn from other platforms and apply it to our own. There's really no way around it, we have to use their schemes to achieve our goal.

I remember watching a Youtube video where one philosopher talked about why bad people seem to be more "successful" than good people. In this analogy, success represents achieving their goal.

According to the philosopher, "bad people" aren't afraid of doing what needs to be done and they're not constrained by the things that worry good guys. He went on to say that if good people were willing to make sacrifices like bad people, the world would actually be a better place.

Hive and projects that live on Hive have this vibe of "being the good guys" in the crypto market. In fact, even the emergence of the blockchain is dipped in controversy where Hive emerged as the oppressed underdog going up against the cruel empire.

I'm not saying we should become the cruel empire because that would make us become what we don't want to be. However, I'm saying that perhaps we could learn something from the cruel empire, and adapt some techniques that would make us capable of at least standing up to them.

In the long run, we'll forgive ourselves for using the same approach that other projects use. If possible, we could even find a clean way to play dirty.

In summary

The point is, we need to involve ourselves in moves that will drive traffic and interest in Hive-based projects. I'm only just mentioning Leo and Cub because they're the two projects that I'm very invested in.

I applaud our efforts so far and I'm grateful to be part of the community. However, I often feel like we're not living up to our true potential and that our potential is being overshadowed by other platforms with far less to offer.

I think it's time we look at how we can adopt strategies that could push Leo and Cub to the next level. If we play our cards right, things could become a lot better than they are now.
