This is an easy cop out for Africans. The leaders here are not taking responsibility for their society and are constantly acting in corrupt ways, committing war crimes with the military that's suppose to protect the citizens and being dickheads.

I know that there are neocolonialistic issues pervading Africa but the root of the problem is in the very fact that we as a people are not ready to break free and be the best version of ourselves.

I speak as a Nigerian and I tell you this that the reason things are bad in this country is not because of colonisers, it is because the people aren't ready to do things right. THis cuts across the population.
