This whole issue about Assimilation is over emphasized. I legally moved to the UK when I was already 31, I'm already who I am and while I'll live according to their laws and stuff, there's hardly any chance I'll become a son of the soul because I'm always going to be an outsider, even if I get a passport.
Now, my kids and grandkids on the other hand will probably be more adjusted to the society than me. Naturally, I'll teach them about where they're from but they'll also have some pride in being British.
The UK government is importing people because they actually need the people. They need hungry people to come and make the country work while the "British people" live off universal credit and welfare, which is basically Free money for not doing any work. I'm not mad at it, it is what it is.
Besides, I came here to grind and make money legally, I'm not obligated to be assimilated into the society.
