I have religiously documented my GLX staking adventure and slow but steady rise towards my target. I basically drop an update of sorts, as I navigate the intricacies of the crypto market and try to make some sense of the situation.
I have been dropping updates whenever my GLX stake increases by 10K and since my last GLX update, I have reached another milestone in my staking journey. Crossing the 90K mark is very special to my adventure, as it represents the final push towards my 100K goal.
I must admit that my pace is much faster than I envisaged and at this rate, I might be tempted to push my target by an extra 50K. However, I have to give myself a mental pat on the back for staying the course despite numerous distractions and focus my efforts into getting this done.
At this moment, I already have over 92K GLX tokens staked and they're farming more GLX for me. Based on the current SPR for staking, even without market purchases, I should be able to reach my 100K goal in about 25 days but I feel like that's a little bit too long for my liking.
As much as I'm not trying to rush into things, I consider every price below 10cents to be a dip, and so, I will be dipping my toes into the market at regular intervals, until I reach my 100K goal.
There's no nicer way to say it, I am broke and that is what makes this my steady rise to 100K a massive victory for me. I have basically been converting assets I earn from publications and liquidating some of my dormant Splinterlands assets to get me over the line.
Reaching 100K staked was actually a target I set after I found myself at 50K and still pushing. At that stage, I figured that since I'm already here, I might as well just keep going.
For me, the main focus is the bigger picture and the future of the asset. GLX holds the promise of being the governance token of an umbrella project that will house numerous Sports-themed games that I reckon will attract aficionados from across the world.
The first of many Sports games to be launched on Hive will be Genesis League Goals and with a partnership with Major League Soccer Players Association, an important association that governs football(read "soccer" for Americans) in America, the project holds a lot of promise.
So, I am putting a lot of weight towards this project with hopes that in the near future, I will be holding a decent chunk of a token with immense importance to the above mentioned project.
I hope my gamble pays off and things go according to plan. In any case, no regrets and no looking back because this is the life I chose and I have to live it.
