Against my nature, I've started auctioning items in the house. This is something that must be done and something we actually planned to do a long time ago but now that it's here, I'm very anxious about it.
Today, I sold our water dispenser, centre table and a couple of other things. Watching them leave was really tough for me mentally but it is something that I must learn to accept.
Whether it's crypto or a table. I need to be willing to let things go, when I must. Tough as it may be though, I don't have a choice because we need to sell them.
One of the items I sold was my Playstation 4 that I have had with me for the past two years. I previously planned to travel with it but it is an unnecessary load for me and so, I had to let it go today.
Out of everything I sold today, watching the Playstation leave my house was the toughest to accept. I sold it at a very decent price and I'm sure the new owner will have a lot of fun with it.
I am still struggling with the idea of selling things in the house but I've made peace with the situation and will be looking to extract maximum value. Even though I'm auctioning items, I'm trying not to lowball myself by selling at too low a price but again, I'm just glad that there's some level of demand for the items.
Liquidating crypto
Most of my cryptocurrencies will also certainly be liquidated in the process. I'm already down to bare bones on Hive-engine and most of the hive I power down is also going towards the project.
Our next target is to pay for the flight and right now, I'm only halfway there. I reckon that I will have raised the required fund by the end of the week.
I'm trying to move fast but not be too hasty as to make a mistake. We just have to pay for the flight as soon as possible, to beat any future rush that could come around in the future.
As the days go by, the price of tickets continues to rise but crypto prices seem to be doing the exact opposite and in the process, delaying my plans. In any case, I'm fairly confident that we will have raised the required funds before the end of the week or in the worst-case scenario, next week.
