Piggericks is the latest instalment of dapps run on Hive blockchain and you'll be forgiven for never hearing about it, EVEN IF you play Splinterland. In this post from @splinterlands, you'll find a small shilling campaign for the new game and prior to yesterday, you might have also noticed the Piggericks promo offer where you get game coupons from buying 10 or more untamed packs.
It piqued my interest, so I took a punt and bought 10 untamed packs, in which I got that gold foiled vigilator, but that's [yesterday's talk]. So I got my @piggericks code and saved it but there wasn't any other information about it on the site. Of course, that's not SPlinterlands job, and they're not about to start putting links that will take their players to a different dapp, so in reality, we can even praise Splinterlands for helping out.
Just in case you're wondering, here's a link to the game, where you boy pigs that battle. My first impression was that it had a pretty good aesthetic site, and all the buttons work.
Unlike Splinterlands where there are literally endless possibilities and they're all dependent on the monsters at your disposal, rules of battle, mana cap etc, this game on the hand is streamlined to the pig's stat and you get to battle other players with them
I tried to do battle but my request timed out because nobody was online, but I guess that can't be helped since it is so new. I'm not sure of the business side of the game but I know that some perks of buying pigs includes earning untamed packs, but will those packs be eligible for the coming untamed airdrop?
The "grunts" seem to be the DEC of this game and it is yet to be known how the economics will work out but I reckon it will be listed on hive-engine at some point. The jury is still out on if it is a decent investment or even the gameplay for that matter. If you have a few bucks laying around, there's no harm in taking a punt, and I say this solely because of SPlinterlands sort of endorse the game.
