The last time I actually visited the hospital was around July of 2017 and it was after I was involved in a serious car accident. Beyond then, I went to get a medical fitness certificate in early 2018 but that hardly counts as a medical procedure.
I got to the hospital around 8:30 am and since I'm a new patient, I had to create a record. Creating the file, and I mean just a file took like 2 hours. I don't get why they're still using hardcopy medical records in a military hospital in 2020, but that's what I found.
The next step was to see a doctor and that also took another 2 hours. Funny thing is that I was about to leave when I saw one of the most disinterested people in the world with a cold expression on his face, wearing crocs and a facemask. I knew he was a doctor because he also looked like he hasn't slept in a long time.
I respect Doctors and the shit they go through. They have to sit there every day and listen to people talk about their problems while getting paid peanuts in a society that pays entertainers millions. Hell, I'll probably be disinterested too if I had that job.
"...if you get sick, you're fucked"
Getting the record file cost like 1500, but evaluating the cost of the time I spent there? Fucking crazy. The funniest part is that today was even a good day, as the secretary put it. Apparently, seeing a doctor generally takes up to 4 hours if it isn't an emergency.
While I was there, the only thing that was going through my mind was "if you get sick, you're fucked. Perhaps this is because it is a Government hospital but the place was in shitty condition. The toilet is basically a hole in the ground, flooded, and smells awful. The doctor's office had a desk, one bed that has at least 6 colonies of bed bugs and a desktop that hasn't been touched since @trumpman started growing hair in his balls.
Doctor recommended I run a urine test and some abdomino-something test. The people running the test were either away or had closed...by noon. Either way, I wasn't going to do it today anyways because I was already running late for my meeting with my project supervisor.
