It has already been 60 days since the start of the Polycub airdrop. Seriously, where does all the time go because that felt like a minute.

I managed to stake every single Polycub I earned from the airdrop into the Xpolycub contract. In that period, I've seen the Xpolycub ratio rise all the way up to 21 Pc per XPc.

At the time of writing, there's currently a bit over 3.8 million Polycub staked in the Xpolycub contract. This is far more than what you'd find in the Polycub/USDC pool. In fact, the Xpolycub contract holds more Polycub than anywhere else right now.

Anyway, now that we've come to the end of the airdrop, I believe that the pace of Polycub dumping will reduce considerably. I believe that the hardcore dumping of Polycub is due to investors trying to take some profit from their Cub investment.

Now that the Polycub minting rate is at around 0.5 Pc per block and scheduled to continue being halfed in the coming months, we'll start seeing some value accrual that will reflect in the price of the token.

At the start of the airdrop, edicted@edicted wrote this publication that discussed the tokenomics behind Polycub. He predicted there will be around 7-8 million Polycub ever in existence.

Going by that logic, we've pretty much minted a bit more than half of the entire supply of Polycub that will ever exist.

Considering that in both farms with Polycub, that is the Pc/USDC and the PC/WEth farms have less than $200k in liquidity, I reckon we're somewhere around the halfway mark of Edicted's prediction.

Honestly, sometimes I get confused by farming operations. Does the addition of new farm vaults translate to minting more Polycub?

I mean, at the time that Edicted wrote his publication, there was no pHBD, pHive and other V2 developments, as discussed by the leofinance@leofinance account here. I ask because, unlike in Cubfinance where multipliers are moved around, there was no change in the multipliers in Polycub.

Polycub pumped a bit

After dropping to 14 cents for a minute, Polycub pumped up to close to 16 cents. Of course considering an asset has dropped from a couple of dollars to a few cents, a 2 cents pump isn't exactly reason to celebrate.

I don't like to read too much into pumps and dumps int he crypto market because they don't necessarily tell the full story. The market value of an asset takes nothing away from the intrinsic value that a product offers.

Anyway, I actually bought a few dollars worth of Polycub for a separate savings wallet some days ago. As I've said a couple of times, I intend to continue buying small amount of Polycub weekly.

As we've now come to the end of the polycub airdrop, you can half expect the market value of Polycub to begin to see some greens. For what it is worth, I don't think it will be a rapid upward surge but I think it will happen soon.

The real money will most likely come about a year or two down the line when there's almost zero Polycub available because of the infinitesimal printing rate, combined with the amount that will be locked in the XPolycub contract.
