Forgive me to get back to You in this insanity. Like You, I am burdened with PTSD and while it is not so much of an issue when things go relatively smooth - when there is too much coming down on me all hell breaks loose. Could not sleep all night long. On top of it, I am stranded in South America since the plandemic and without any support. Although I do resin artwork, the company I am working for has financial problems and therefor I just get enough to scrape by. There are stretches without any food, which is not helpful with my condition. But giving up is not an option. Especially since my Kids are now in much greater trouble than I am. My daughter works at a funeral business and before the storm hit she told me that they are so overwhelmed with work that she does not get any rest. My focus is now on Permaculture and Organic Farming, since I believe food will become a major issue in the foreseeable future. Self-sustainability is possible with Permaculture - but I am running against concrete walls here. People are not interested in Organic Farming.
Would You consider going to Florida to help rebuild it? This is what I am thinking about, but I have no means to do that. My construction skills are very good, I did that on and off during my life.
After over 20 years, I still consider Hawai'i my home - where I had to leave, because my neighborhood "Leilani Estates" was overrun by Lava in 2018. Suffering from asthma it was a life threatening situation and I ended up on an Odyssey of epic proportions.
Apologies for wording it up like this, but I have nobody here I can speak English with. And right now the head and heart are overwhelmed. All the best to You and Your folks in Florida.

RE: Hurricane Ian Giving Me PTSD, And I Am Not Even In Florida Anymore
