Ecency has an appealing system that enables user engagement on the platform to be rewarded with points that can be used either for promoting or boosting users' posts. Like ants, people are engaging and earning points day after day and when reaching at least 150 points they can give try to use them over their content. But sometimes trying to make use of the hard-earned point, is like being in a casino and playing against the bank, which we all know always wins.
Checking the boost rules on the Ecency site, I've found the following details: "Points can be used for boosting content (posts and comments). Boosting requests are manually reviewed by our moderators and curators which might take upto 24 hours.
a) Content is original content
b) Not detected by cheetah, mackbot, hivewatchers, or any other blacklists etc. c) User is not in Ecency blacklist due to abusive behavior.
Boosting does not guarantee curation, if content is not curated within 24 hours Points will be refunded."
Now the reason why I've written this post is that for probably 7 days I am trying to boost some posts that I've published using the LeoFinance interface. And all of them resulted in refunds after 24 hours. So either there is a centralized curation that is simply offline and not applying the actions using the points, or there are additional conditions on what posts are being boosted using Ecency points - maybe posts published only using the Ecency interface. But if this is the case, it should be clearly stated within the site and be clear for the users what conditions their content needs to fulfill.
As I am from 2017 on the Hive blockchain, I consider that my content improved over them and contains quite a bit of value for the readers. Thus, I should be able to get it promoted or boosted with Ecency points.
Is this happening also for you? Can you boost your posts?
